One of the most prolific strikers in world football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has officially announced that he is going to join Manchester United next season on a free transfer. The news was posted by the player on his official twitter account.

Manchester United who have finished fifth in the Premier League would be playing in Europa League this season. Despite their poor performance for the last three years after dominating English football for over two decades, Manchester United are still able to attract star players from around the world.

The signing would be a huge statement by newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho who will lock horns with some of the best managers in the world next season. Despite signing Anthony Martial last season, Louis van Gaal was heavily dependent on teen-age sensation Marcus Rashford who have delivered time and again.

However, the Reds are keen to sign a proven striker as they cannot be dependent on a teenager every week over the course of the season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still one of the greatest strikers in the world as he won golden boot in French League last season.

The 34-year old has already won titles in four different countries and the English Premier League would be a whole new experience for the player as he look to help Manchester United to get back to their glory days. He has scored a whopping 50 goals in 51 appearances in 2015-16 season at an age of 34 which speaks volumes about his capability as a player.

It is needless to say, both Zlatan and Manchester United might very well have a new chapter in their histories.
