There was a bidding war between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals initially before Sunrisers Hyderabad joined the 13.25 crores. Harry Brook is already touted to be the next big thing in the world of cricket and Brook will be a very important player for Sunrisers Hyderabad in that middle order which is less experienced in the league.

South African star batter Aiden Markram was appointed as the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). SunRisers Hyderabad will begin their IPL 2023 campaign against former winners Rajasthan Royals in the home game on Sunday, April 2nd.
