Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has played with various keepers in his international career, has picked one keeper which he would trust with closed eyes.

On his Youtube Channel, he was answering the questions from the fans where he was asked to choose among Dhoni, Saha and Karthik. The legendary off-spinner picked MS Dhoni as his no-brainer pick.

“Dhoni, Saha and DK – in that order, you can take the answer. It is very difficult to separate them behind the stumps,” Ashwin said.

MS Dhoni kept wickets for 22 Tests against Ashwin

“I’ve played a lot of cricket with Dinesh in Tamil Nadu. But if I’ve to pick one. I think some really really tough dismissals have been made look easy just the man (Dhoni) behind the stumps.” he added further.

Noteworthy that Wriddhiman kept wickets in 38 Tests for R Ashwin, while Dhoni kept him for 22 Tests and Tamil Nadu keeper Dinesh Karthik kept him for 3 Tests.

Ashwin shared one experience from Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2013 when Dhoni made it look easy one difficult take in a difficult track at Chennai.

“There’s this one dismissal of Ed Cowan in Chennai on Day 1 where he steps out and gets stump. The ball didn’t turn but it bounced, and MS Dhoni collected the ball. I’ve hardly seen him miss anything, be it stumping or run-out catches. He’s one of the most exceptional keepers against spin. Saha is not far behind either.” Ashwin said.

Ashwin made his international debut in 2010. So far in his international career, 7 keepers kept wickets against his bowling- Dhoni, Saha, Pant, Parthiv, Karthik, Ojha and Uthappa. With all kinds of variations, Ashwin is one of the most difficult bowlers to keep wickets.
