English Premier League concluded their festive schedule to end their first half of the season two days ago. The majority of teams will take a breath after a hectic December month which was hit by the Covid-19 outbreak as well. All teams now set to enjoy 10 days of a break but the FA Cup Third Round fixtures and the EFL Cup semi-finals clash are around the corner this week.
Most of the English clubs are already started their transfer activity to compete in all the competitions possible. The biggest transfer activity in this winter transfer window is Ferran Toress’ departure from Manchester City to Barcelona for a reported fee of £54 million. Newcastle United are looking most active team in the transfer market which was expected. The Magpies are struggling in the relegation zone and need quality signings in January to survive in the Premier League.

Title contenders Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea are unlikely to sign any players but we can expect some exits for sure. Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur are likely to sign at least one quality player to finish this season with the Champions League qualification.
