Indian legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar feels Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara would be extremely unhappy with them for not being able to score big runs on the Ahmedabad pitch after a very good start. Both batters missed the opportunity to big runs in the final test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Sunil Gavaskar who was seen commentating on the final test with Star Sports revealed the mindset of batsmen getting out after playing very well. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a well-played 35 runs chipping the ball straight to cover and Cheteshwar Pujara was too softly dismissed by Todd Murphy.
“See once you are set in the middle, then you start thinking about scoring a century. Both Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara were nicely set. But when the two got out they immediately didn’t show any anger but the moment they enter a private space where they can do some tod phod (break a few things),” Gavaskar said.

Gavaskar cited himself as an example, of his mindset when he was dismissed after being set and said that he want to be alone in the dressing room, as he would like to have only a few people in the dressing room.
“I’ll give you my example. If was dismissed between 30-40 then the team should vacate the dressing room and walk out to the dugout or gallery. Only one or two would stay back to pass information to rest about what happened inside,” he added.
Coming into the match, at the time of writing India was 310-4 with Shubman Gill being the top scorer for India before being dismissed by Nathan Lyon. Virat Kohli is batting brilliantly and is unbeaten on 69 runs. India will look to add a few runs to go past Australia’s 1st innings total of 480 runs.
