After each win for India against the opposition, the fans eagerly wait to watch the now-famous show ‘Chahal TV’ hosted by the Men in Blue spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for the BCCI in itself. Similarly, after winning the second ODI match against Australia, Shikhar Dhawan acted as a host for ‘Chahal TV’. The southpaw spoke to the star performer of Rajkot, KL Rahul, in a cheeky style, giving the reason why spinner of short stature, Chahal was not available to host the show.

Dhawan took a dig at Chahal, commenting that the 30-year-old spinner has finally gone to get his teeth fixed. After hearing these words from Dhawan, KL Rahul burst into laughter who was being interviewed on the show.

Dhawan started: “Hi, I welcome everyone to ‘Chahal TV’. You must be wondering where is Yuzvendra Chahal. Finally, aaj wo apne daant andar karwane gaya (he has finally gone to get his teeth fixed).”

“After so many years, we finally convinced him to go. That’s why he cannot be seen today. And you cannot see his teeth as well,” he went on to say.

In the rest of the episode of ‘Chahal TV’, Dhawan interviewed Rahul about his mindset while playing at any given position.

“I have been in good form since the last few series, so the build-up had been good before this series. I used the form I was in. I was ready for the challenge of batting at no.5, I was ready to enjoy. You learn a lot about yourself and your skills after you bat at uncomfortable positions,” Rahul said.

India registered a clinical win over the visitors Australia at Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium. After facing humiliating defeat by 10 wickets in the series opener, the Men in Blue showed their strength in the second ODI by winning the game by 36 runs against the Kangaroos.

The name which should be thanked is KL Rahul, who played an incredible inning. Rahul not only produced a scintillating show with the bat, but also did quite well behind the stumps. He scored crucial 80 runs and also stumped Australian captain, Aaron Finch, in 16th over.

Now, India and Australia will head to Bengaluru to play third and final ODI at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on Sunday ( 19 January).
