Rangnick has shown more faith in Diogo Dalot ahead of Wan-Bissaka but this is just a temporary solution from the German. Manchester United management doubts Wan-Bissaka’s attacking qualities and Dalot’s defensive strengths. They are looking for someone who can contribute to both attack and defence and according to a report from the Daily Mail, they have identified Tariq Lamptey as a perfect solution.

Manchester United value Lamptey at around £30 million but Brighton are firm on their £40 million valuation. Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is also keeping a tab on Lamptey as he is not satisfied with Emerson and Doherty on the right-back position. Red Devils are also looking to solidify the midfield with a new holding midfielder this month and are linked with Ruben Neves and Denis Zakaria lately.
