Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick reveals that he has backing from Manchester United players despite the current speculation of a rift between him and players. It has been reported that United’s dressing room has been divided into small groups since the famous return of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 36-year-old former star returned to Old Trafford last summer from Juventus and has been an instant hit for Manchester United. Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances this season but Red Devils are struggling again. United also managed to sign Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho in the summer but there is a deep decline in the performances compared to last season. Manchester United sit in 7th position in the league table with 31 points, 22 points behind leaders Manchester City and 4 points behind 4th placed Arsenal.

Manchester United also witnessed a change in managerial position as well, with Ralf Rangnick replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last month. But the German tactician has adapted a very disturbed dressing room and it’s affecting their campaign with inconsistent displays from the individuals. Rangnick has formed a 4-4-2 formation at Manchester United and various reports suggest that players are not happy about it. Many key players including skipper Harry Maguire are planning to have a discussion with the manager to change the formation.
“They are at least trying. I’m sure that they are listening and I think we showed in the last games, against [Crystal] Palace, also against Burnley and also in the away games against Norwich [City] and Newcastle [United] that they are trying to follow the advice that we give them, that I give them,” – Rangnick on Manchester United Players.
