Pakistan pace sensation Shaheen Afridi has revealed his favourite dismissal in the famous clash against arch-rivals India in which Pakistan famously broke the jinx against India as they beat them for the first time in a World Cup game.

Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled a terrific spell of 3/31 with three prized scalps of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli. In the very first over, he trapped Rohit Sharma plumb in front with a terrific yorker. In the next over, Rahul played all over to his inswinger and lost his off-stump. And in the final overs, he got the better of Virat Kohli as he deceived him with a slower bouncer.

In a Youtube Show with Mazher Arshad, Shaheen Afridi was asked to choose his favourite wicket between Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, the 21-year old chose Rahul’s one.

Rahul’s wicket was the favourite one. I think I wasn’t even expecting the ball to move in that much after pitching. It was my second over only and generally, the ball doesn’t move that much in the first couple of overs.” Shaheen Shah Afridi said.

Afridi said that his mindset was to give his best effort and he could get the desired results in the end. Chasing the target of 152, Pakistan achieved it without losing a single wicket as captain Babar Azam 68*(52) and vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan 79*(55) formed an unbeaten stand to take his team home.

Pakistan remained unbeaten in the Super-12 stage as they beat India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia. However, they lost the semifinal game against Australia who eventually became the champions.

In the semifinal game, Shaheen Afridi was at the receiving end when Matthew Wade hit 3 consecutive sixes against him to shatter Pakistan’s dreams to win the tournament.

Recently he became the youngest captain to win a T20 league as his team Lahore Qalandars win their first PSL title, beating Multan Sultans in the final.
