Three Serie A clubs have reached out to representatives of Divock Origi over the pre-contract agreement this month. Liverpool striker’s contract is set to expire after six months, so clubs can approach him directly to sign him on a free transfer for the next season.

According to a report from Sky Sports UK, three Italian clubs are interested in signing Origi on a free transfer but Liverpool are looking to offload the striker this month. It is understood that the player is on high wages at Anfield and that’s one of the reasons the Reds were unable to sell him in the previous summer. But now with just 6 months remaining on his contract, it will cost less than £10 million to sign a former Lille star.

The same report also suggests that the 26-year-old Belgian international is looking to stay in the Premier League, if possible. Liverpool have an option for 1-year automatic extension in his contract if he plays a certain number of Premier League matches. But it’s highly unlikely as he hasn’t started any league game so far and it’s won’t happen in the next six months.

Newcastle United are interested in Origi but he is not their primary target in the attacking options. The Magpies are looking to sign Anthony Martial and Pierre-Emerick Aubamenyang as well, and move for Origi if they fail to land any other forward. Newcastle United, the richest club in the world, can afford his wages and could fund a £10 million move this month.

Last Month, league giants AC Milan were reportedly scouting Origi while their Champions League fixture against Liverpool. Origi scored the winning goal against Milan and management was impressed. But there is no official report of any interest from the Italian giants.

Another Serie A heavyweights, Lazio, are the latest Italian side interested in Origi’s signature this month on a pre-agreement contract. Both Milan and Lazio can offer more minutes to Origi and are also capable of fulfilling his wage demands. But according to a report, Origi is going to wait till summer to explore his next destination.

Origi has been a fan favourite when it comes to scoring late goals which included famous Champions League strike against Barcelona a season ago and a winning goal against Wolves this season. Origi has made three league appearances from the bench this season and scored twice. He has also scored 2 cup goals and 1 in the Champions League this season. So the goalscoring touch is never been an issue for Origi.

Its Liverpool attack, which consists of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Frimino, is hard to penetrate for any striker. After his famous winning goal against Wolves, manager Jurgen Klopp happily suggested that he will help a player find a club who can offer him more game time than him.
