Tributes poured in from the cricketing fraternity as the entire cricketing world mourned the demise of Shane Warne. On Friday, the legendary spinner at the age of 52 passed away of a suspected heart attack in Thailand.

The legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar took Twitter to post an emotional tribute for the greatest spinner. Sachin and Warne shared some epic battles during their playing days. However, both of them had a great friendship off the field as well. Sachin wrote that Indians will always a special place for Warne.

After the retirement from international cricket, Warne played 4 seasons in the IPL as he also led Rajasthan Royals to its maiden IPL title in the inaugural season.
Virat Kohli, who is playing his 100th Test match, also condoled the demise of the legendary player.
“Life is so fickle and unpredictable. I cannot process the passing of this great of our sport and also a person I got to know off the field. RIP #goat (greatest of all time). Greatest to turn the cricket ball,” Kohli tweeted.

India’s newly-appointed Test captain Rohit Sharma also said that he’s still in disbelief.
“I’m truly lost for words here, this is extremely sad. An absolute legend and champion of our game has left us. RIP Shane Warne….still can’t believe it,” Rohit Sharma tweeted.

Shane Warne represented Australia in 145 Tests and 193 ODIs in his 15-year long career spanning from 1992 to 2007. His Test wickets tally of 708 wickets is the second-highest among the leading wicket-takers list. In ODIs, he finished with 293 wickets which included two player-of-the-match performances in the semifinal and final of World Cup 1999.
