IPL 2019: Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals – Match Prediction, PCA Stadium Mohali

Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals is a match number 32 of the IPL 2019 season. Both teams are eager to win their games. They will face at the PCA stadium in Mohali on Tuesday (April 15) evening. For KXIP KL Rahul has been in some form and Royals would be relying on Jos Buttler‘s brisk start. Before revealing the details based on match prediction, the challenge would be the weather in the northern part of the cricket-frenzy nation.

With KXIP placed fifth on the points table, following four wins in eight games, Royals are listed seventh after winning just two in seven matches.

Punjab has lost their previous game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by seven wickets.

In the last two games, Punjab couldn’t do much despite a good showing from a couple of individuals. However, they had a great track record this season at their fortress.

Also, Chris Gayle and Steven Smith would like to up the ante against spinners for their respective sides. The duo has strike-rate in the mid-90s against the slow bowlers for this season.

It’s not a piece of good news for the fans. The scattered thunderstorm is expected. So much so, the precipitation would go up to 70 per cent at 10:00 PM which possibly could affect the game.

With more chances of rain, it equally poses a question for the drainage system at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. On that front, it’s said to be decent.

Also, the maximum temperature would hover around 30-degree Celcius. Also, the humidity would be a massive challenge.

Evidently, it reads as high as 77 per cent during the fag end of the game.

Head-to-Head IPL Matches:

Overall Fixtures: 18, KXIP – 8, RR – 10.

Predicted Playing XI:

Kings XI Punjab: KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Sarfaraz Khan, Sam Curran, Mandeep Singh, Nicholas Pooran, R Ashwin, Andrew Tye, Mohammed Shami and Murugan Ashwin.

Rajasthan Royals: Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Steven Smith, Manan Vohra, Liam Livingstone, Shreyas Gopal, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jofra Archer, Dhawal Kulkarni and Jaydev Unadkat.

Pitch Condition:

It’s a pitch where you won’t expect a run-fest, but again it seems quite right for the batters. Plus, the spinners would be practical at the PCA Stadium given to the slower side of the pitch.

Promptly, it would be a major contest between bat and ball.

Match Prediction:

The hosts had availed firepower at the top to expose the visitors. However, the guest has also some best strikers who could change the complexion of the game.

On the contrary, it wouldn’t be easy for Punjab side while emerging favourites for the contest.

The hosts would be keen to come good show against Royals, who had shown some promise of late.

Buttler could be the highest scorer for the Royals. For, KXIP all eyes will be on World Cup-bound Rahul.

Give to the toss; the winning skipper would follow the norm to field first. Also, the first innings total on the spinner-friendly turf would be anything between 165-175.

Hosts will take away the game if rain doesn’t mar the game.

IPL 2019, Match 28: Kings XI Punjab vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – Match Prediction

In the ongoing IPL 2019, it’s going to be the battle between stars when Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mohali on Saturday (April 13) evening. Before discussing the match prediction, the hosts are entering the game with a disappointing loss following Keiron Pollard’s whirlwind knock of 31-ball 83 at Wankhede.

On the other side, RCB has somewhat been in a slump.

Currently, Ravichandran Ashwin-led side is placed fourth on the list of IPL points table 2019. But RCB is at the bottom of the table with six straight loses.

Punjab has won four out of their seven games.

Interestingly, KL Rahul has been in some kind of form and would be keen to perform against his former IPL franchise RCB. Rahul is second on the list as the most run-getter in this season.

In the previous match, Rahul has slammed a fine hundred to amass 317 runs in seven IPL innings. He scored runs at an exceptional average of 79.25.

On the other side, Mayank Agarwal would be aiming to improve his performance despite finding himself in the top ten run scorers of the IPL 2019. He is fifth on the list with 223 runs in six games at an average of 37.17.

However, Chris Gayle is doubtful for the game while suffering from a long-standing back issue.

On the other side, the onus is on RCB skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Also, their bowlers need to stand up and deliver.

Kohli has accumulated 203 runs at an average of 33.83. He has been the only highlight for the RCB so far apart from Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal is the most successful bowler for the RCB. In six matches, he has bagged nine wickets in this season. Such has been the bad luck of RCB, there is no other bowler in the top-20 list of most wicket-takers in the ongoing IPL edition.

Players have to be more cautious in the late night game with humidity a concern to look at.

Pitch Report:

So far, the PCA Stadium has emerged a familiar surface for the slow bowlers. The pitch is expected to play similarly on Saturday (April 13).

However, the batters have done a decent job on this particular surface which has offered a true bounce.

To be frank, Kings XI Punjab has done well in this season so far. But, it’s time to give an outside chance to the RCB.

With star-studded players lined-up, RCB is capable of changing the fortunes. They have the firepower to carry a potential threat against the opposition.

Overall, it’s going to be a major battle between both teams. Precisely, RCB has a lot at stake.

IPL 2019, Match 22: Kings XI Punjab vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Match Prediction, Mohali

In the match number 21 of IPL 2019, hosts Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Monday. Both the teams are coming off from loses. With Ravichandran Ashwin leading Punjab, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been at the helm of affairs for Hyderabad in the absence of struggling regular captain Kane Willaimson. Here, Sportzwiki brings you the match prediction for the much-awaited game of Kings XI Punjab vs Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Earlier, KXIP lost the game by 22 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) despite 117-run partnership between KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan. The duo set up the tone but dragged things too late which eventually led to their downfall in a low-scoring contest.

On the other side, Hyderabad’s batsmen faltered as they lost their game at home by 40 runs.

Pertinently, the hosts were bowled out on 96 as Windies star Alzarri Joseph achieved the best bowling figures on his debut IPL game. He conceded just 12 runs to bag six wickets against SRH.

Furthermore, both the teams will aim to make the most out of the positives.

SRH has botched up a run chase in their previous game (MI), so as, KXIP against the CSK. With Hyderabad’s middle-order turning out to be a massive concern for the team before going deep into the tournament, Punjab, too, has a couple of problems to sort out.

Meanwhile, both teams boast about their big-hitters at the top, but the timid approach during modest run chases has spoiled their merry-run. While playing at home, KXIP would not be bothered about the selection conundrum, whereas, SRH would be keen to lend stability to the middle-order.

Pitch Report:

The PCA deck has somewhat helped spinners and over the years batsmen have cherished their respective outings. And, they’ve to work hard despite partaking in the shortest version of the game.

Overall, the batsman can trust the surface and far different from Feroz Shah Kotla and Chepauk. It’s going to be an exciting battle between bat and a ball on Monday (April 8).

Weather Report:

As we are into April, the scorching heat throughout the day will have its impact. With the late evening game, the temperatures will hover around 34. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 22-degree centigrade.

The duo factor will come into place during the second innings of the game. The humidity is predicted at around 39 per cent.

Meanwhile, winds will blow at 10 kph which subsequently will keep things pretty cool.

Match Prediction:

It’s all about who’s going to exploit the conditions well in Mohali.

Following a disappointing loses, SRH and KXIP as two different units are eager to get back to the winning ways. While having some prominent faces in the line-up, Punjab is capable of thumping SRH.

However, on the other side, the batting failure of SRH might introduce Kane Williamson in the fold.

Meanwhile, we might not witness a cliff-hanger, but visitors will cross the line with ease.

The team winning the toss might think a bit, but skipper would be happy to put opposition to bat first. The projected score could be between 155 and 165.

Besides, for Capitals, Shaw looked in ominous touch, as he has provided an essential start. They would be vying to see their middle-order rising to the occasion.

Often, Mohali surface has helped the team deciding other than a chase. Evidently, the teams batting first have won 10 games in overall 14 matches since 2014.
