Liv Morgan has officially become the new number-one contender to the reigning RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. This future matchup was already hinted at during last week’s episode and WWE Universe seemed very happy after the youngster grabbed the spotlight and earned her right to become the new challenger.

This week’s Raw from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky saw Liv Morgan win a Fatal 5 Way over Carmella, Queen Zelina Vega, Bianca Belair, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Rhea Ripley to become the new number-one contender to the women’s champion Becky Lynch.

With the champ sitting at ringside, Morgan seized the opportunity as she rolled up Carmella to get the pinfall win and set up a future title matchup. There’s no word on when Morgan will get her title shot. Following the contest, the two future opponents stood over the table and faced off to hype up the feud that has just been initiated.

As of now, a big RAW vs. SmackDown match has been announced for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view where SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will compete against RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in a non-title champion vs. champion match.

Liv Morgan has never been able to hold a championship during her WWE tenure but in recent times, the WWE Universe has been voting for her for a future title match opportunity. With Becky Lynch standing against her, it’s time for her to prove her potential against the very best that WWE has to offer. Only time will tell whether WWE would allow the former Riott Squad member to capture the title.
