Mick Foley Discusses The Future Of Bray Wyatt

Wyatt started his professional wrestling career in 2009 as a Trainee in the Florida Championship Wrestling which was the development Territory of WWE back in that time. The very next year he participated on the first season of NXT competition. He then made his main roster debut as a member of the Nexus under the ring name of Husky Harris.

In 2012 he made his debut as his iconic character Bray Wyatt. He made his debut along with a stable behind him which was famously known as The Wyatt Family. The other team mates of Wyatt were Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and of course Braun Strowman.

In a very short amount of time, The Wyatt Family became a sensation of WWE. But the other members of The Wyatt Family parted ways after a number of years and Bray started working solo since. He won his first WWE World Championship in the Elimination Chamber pay per view event of 2017 by winning the Elimination Chamber match in the mentioned event.

In 2019 he got a gimmick change and he was renamed as the Fiend. The gimmick was not much different from his previous gimmick but it was a huge success and the fans loved it. While playing the gimmick of the Fiend he won the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship two times in total.

But he was losing all of his Momentum after he got involved in a feud with Randy Orton later last year. Ultimately he lost the feud at WrestleMania 37, and surprisingly after only a month he was released by WWE. It was quite shocking, but only this year WWE has released over 70 stars, and he was one of the unfortunate ones. He is currently a free agent and could be seen in any professional wrestling promotion.

Mick Foley who is a former three times World Champion recently spoke to Alistair McGeorge of Metro where he talked about the future of the former three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt. He said any promotion would be profited if they could sign him. He said;

“Oh, wherever he decides to go will benefit from him being there.  And that’s great to know. When somebody has success and an amazing pop and reaction – like Ruby Soho – it just shows you.

“Because [thinking of] mental health, you get that call from WWE that your time is up, that used to be seen as a death knell on a career. And now people are like, “Hey I get to go somewhere else and ply my craft”. I like the idea that there’s other places available.”
