Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley who is also a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently looked back at her rivalry with the Kiwi professional wrestler Toni Storm. The duo had a number of feuds during their NXT days and all of them were quite brilliant.
Rhea Ripley and Toni storm had a number of feuds with each other. Their first rivalry took place in 2018 when the WWE UK Women’s championship was ground for the first time by a tournament. Rhea and Toni battled in the tournament final and Rhea defeated Toni will the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Championship.
NXT – Rhea Ripley Looks Back At Her Rivalry With Toni Storm
This was the beginning of their feud. After nearly five months, Rhea defend her title against Toni at the NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool event. This time Toni defeated Rhea and won the NXT UK Championship.
After a year when both of them got promoted to the main roster they had another feud between each other. One of their best matches is considered to be their match at NXT Worlds Collide event where defended the NXT women’s Championship against Toni and defeated her. This match was one of the biggest attractions of the night.
Now both of the wrestlers have been promoted to the main roster. But it is quite unfortunate that both of them had to go through Charlotte Flair who has already killed the push of Rhea, and now it is time for Toni, who will also likely to get buried at the hands of Charlotte Flair. But both of them are quite young and had a lot to offer surely. We hope they had an excellent future lying ahead of themselves.
Rhea Ripley who is also a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion recently spoke to Sportskeeda where she looked back at her rivalry with the Kiwi professional wrestler Toni Storm. She said;
“It was really, really bound to happen. Toni and I have been fighting each other since we were 16 years old in Australia. We have a match over there that we had and it’s just sort of progressed over time and gotten more and more popular.
“So our feud is definitely something that is going to go on for the longest time. I love Toni, but I hate Toni. We have matching tattoos, but I want to punch her in the face. She’s just always going to be there and it’s going to be a feud for a long, long time.”
