WWE never focused on booking dream matches after the end of the famous Attitude Era. Fans kept asking for different dream matches but the promotion was quite stingy with this product. Smackdown – Trish Stratus On A Potential Dream Match With Sasha Banks
There was a time when WWE could grant the ultimate dream match that fans were looking to see for ages; and that was the Undertaker vs Sting match. Instead, they decided to book a match between Triple H and Sting at WrestleMania 31.
On the other hand, they booked a match between the Undertaker and Bray Wyatt on the same event. Just if they switched the opponent in these two matches, the fans could have gotten what they actually wanted to see.
But since the arrival of the Saudi Arabian events, WWE decided to book dream matches in almost every event. But most of the wrestlers that was booked in those dream matches were past their Prime.
Such as the match between the Brothers of Destruction and D Generation X or the match between the Undertaker and Goldberg. The matches could have been wrestling classic if they were booked while their Prime, but unfortunately they turned out to be some of the worst worked matches ever.
Trish Stratus who is a former seven times WWE Women’s Champion recently spoke to Vibe 105.5 FM in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where she talked about a potential dream match with the former six times WWE Women’s champion Sasha Banks. She said;
“She’s an amazing athlete. People sort of fantasize about that match because we had a little bit of a face-to-face when I went back for the Women’s Royal Rumble. And who knows, that is appealing to me. I think she is a fantastic athlete.
“She has brought so much to the company and elevated women in the industry from what she’s done and I think fans would love to see that. I would love to whoop her butt and prove how I’m the best and you know stuff like that.
“So yeah, so to close up our conversation let’s leave it with that little button and say perhaps one day if I decide to go back in the ring, I might have to deliver a little Stratusfaction to the bank… to The Boss there you go.”
