The historic episode of the 30th anniversary of Monday Night RAW as Hulk Hogan entered the stage along with “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart and they welcomed everyone to this epic show. The mic that Hogan was holding was faulty. An official came out and exchanged it. This was not a good sign to start such a historic event.

After a long video package to promote RAW XXX, The Bloodline came out to the arena. Instantly, the crowd chanted the name of “Sami.” As soon as the mic went to the hand of Paul Heyman, there were “ECW” chant. Heyman reminded everyone that ECW was dead and he wished the same for Sami. He then accused Sami of being Judas.

Roman Reigns got angry about the fact that Sami did not want to defend himself, and he said that he had enough of it. He ordered Solo Sikoa to take care of the business. As Solo attempted to hit Sami with The Samoan Spike, Jey Uso surprised everyone as he stopped him. He then presented a video footage showing how much sacrificed for the Bloodline and how much he was committed to the Bloodline.

Jey Uso said that he always despised him but Sami had always seen the good in him. Jey said that Sami was like a brother to him now and he wanted him to stay in the Bloodline. Jimmy Uso also agreed to him. Roman Reigns said that he did not find him guilty as of now. He said that Sami had to give a final test at Royal Rumble, then they would see if he was truly Bloodline or not. After the segment, The Usos hugged Sami.

LA Knight came out to the arena next. He talked about the upcoming Pitch Black match at Royal Rumble and he wanted a promo of it. There was no promo, instead, The Undertaker appeared, and this time he came with The American Badass after nearly 20 years. Knight attempted to escape but Bray Wyatt stopped him. He went back to the ring, Undertaker grabbed him by his throat, then he through him to Wyatt, and Wyatt hit him with the Sister Abigaile. Undertaker said something in the ears of Wyatt and left. It was an amazing nostalgic movement.

The Steel Cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley was scheduled to take place next. But the match could never officially begin. As Becky was about to enter the cage, The Damage CTRL ganged up on her and started beating her down. They locked the cage from inside and the three on one attack was really difficult for Becky to survive. Adam Pearce had to come out with the officials to stop the assault.

The next segment is easily one of the best segments of the recent years of WWE. D Generation X came out to the arena along with Kurt Angle. The segment started in the classic way. When they looked at Kurt Angle, they asked him what was he doing. Kurt said that he always wanted to join DX and he revealed his DX t-shirt.

Imperium interfered them and wanted them out of the ring. They also threw a challenge. DX members and Kurt Angle refused to fight and their refusal was really funny. Seth Rollins and The Street Profits came out to fight them.

Match 2 – The Street Profits and Seth Rollins defeated Imperium

Match 4 – WWE United States Championship – Austin Theory defeated Bobby Lashley in a No Disqualification match to retain

The main event of the night is arguably the best match of the night. The match was booked for nearly 15 minutes and it had been pretty entertaining. Since it was a no disqualification match, weapons had been involved throughout it. It had been a pretty physical match.

The early half of the match was mostly dominated by Bobby Lashley. But then it was anyone’s game. At the end of the match, when Lashley was closing in on a victory, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return. He did not waste any time but he entered the ring and hit Lashley with the F5. Then he hit F5 on Theory on top of Lesnar to let him get the pin. Brock Lesnar stood tall as RAW XXX went off air.

Overall, it had been a good show but honestly we expected a much better show. Most of the legends appeared backstage. Of course, there were some excellent moments featuring the legends, like the one with the American Badass Undertaker, the one with DX, Kurt Angle and Teddy Long. The return of Brock Lesnar was pretty well booked as well.

But there were some big flaws. Tonight’s show really showed that WWE still does not value their women much. Why there were no women legends? And why did they cancel the epic steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley? It was pretty disappointing. We give this week’s show 2.5 out of 5.
