This week’s SmackDown started as the Bloodline came out to the arena. This is the first time we are seeing all six of them together. They entered the ring and Paul Heyman talked about Roman Reigns defeating Drew McIntyre. He also talked about the upcoming WWE Tag Team Championship match between the Usos and the Brawling Brutes.

Next, Roman Reigns ordered Solo Sikoa who is the newest member of the Bloodline to acknowledge him. Solo Sikoa acknowledged the tribal chief. As they were about the leave the ring, Sami Zayn also wanted to acknowledge Roman. Roman asked what was he doing? Why was he even wearing a Bloodline shirt.

He then forcefully remove his shirt, and surprised him with a new one  with “The Honorary Uce” written on it. Sami who was in utter shock was now very happy. He tarted celebrating with everyone individually. It was such a feel good moment. Even though Jey Uso did not look very happy about it.

Match 1 – Liv Morgan defeated Lacey Evans

You have got to feel bad for Lacey Evans in this match. It was the ultimate burial for her. At first she lost the match clean in around 5 minutes time. Then Liv gave her the ultimate beating. She beat her down with a Kendo Stick, then she put her through a table. So Lacey Evans is just a jobber for Triple H.

Backstage Ricochet and Madcap Moss confronted Sami Zayn and started making fun of him for being a puppet of the Bloodline. They said that he might have in considering himself as a Bloodline member but he was nothing but a puppet. Solo Sikoa attacked Ricochet and Madcap and beat them down in favour of Sami.

Match 2 – The New Day defeated Maximum Male Models

This was a short match where the Maximum Male Models jobbed again. Xavier Woods pinned Mansoor with a role up. After the match, Max Dupri looked really frustrated. He might stop working as a valet now. He needs to start wrestling again.

Match 3 – Braun Strowman defeated Otis

This match was booked for five and a half minutes. It might have been a short match about it was fun to watch. After the announcement of this match it seemed like it would be more of a one man show but Otis had his moments in this match. Braun Strowman pinned Otis with a Powerbomb.

Drew McIntyre came out to the arena. He addressed his rivalry with Karrion Kross so far and announced that at Extreme Rules they would face other in a Strap match. After the announcement, Kross attempted to attack Drew but this time Drew beat down Kross really bad. But Scarlett interfered at the end with a low blow and Kross finally beat down Drew with the help from Scarlett.

Match 4 – Raquel Rodriguez defeated Dakota Kai

This was short match but did a good job to build the Women’s Tag Team Championship feud further. Rodriguez was dominating Dakota but Bayley and Sky kept on distracting Rodriguez. Shotzi came out for the help. As Dakota was distracted by the chaos outside, Rodriguez pinned her a roll up.

Match 5 – WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship – The Usos defeated The Brawling Brutes to retain

It was undoubtedly the best match of the night and this was the pay per view standard match of this week’s SmackDown. It was book for around 12 minutes and the Brutes had been the stronger force of the match throughout. But at the end of the match, the Imperium attacked Sheamus which distracted the Brutes and Jey Uso quickly pinned Butch after 1D to retain. The Bloodline celebrated as this week’s SmackDown went off air.

Overall it was not a bad week of Smackdown but it mostly focused on the lower mid card storylines rather than building World Championship or Intercontinental championship storylines. The Tag Team Championship match was really good, this was definitely the best part of this week’s SmackDown. Lacey Evans jobbing was really awful to see. But again, it was good to see Roman Reigns. Now he can take a long absent for at least one month since he is not booked for Extreme Rules. That is what he is best at. We give it 2 stars out of 5.
