This week’s SmackDown started as footage from last week was shown where Roman Reigns fired Paul Heyman for saying that he was protecting him from Brock Lesnar. As he was beating down Heyman, Brock Lesnar came out and saved him.
Footage from earlier tonight was shown where Paul Heyman was interviewed by Kayla Braxton where Heyman said that he had to pay the price for telling the truth and he had been humiliated publicly. He also said that he did not regret about telling the truth and he was considering his retirement.

Match 1 – WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair defeated Toni Storm
It was a predictable outcome but what a match. It was booked for around twelve minutes and it was a pay per view standard match. At the end, Charlotte revesered a Small Package pin and won the match.
Match 2 – 12 Days of Christmas 12 Man gauntlet match to determine the number one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship – Sami Zayn won the gauntlet match by last eliminating Ricochet –
This is a series of back to back matches. And the whole segment was extremely entertaining. The full results are given below;

Match 13 – Miracle of 34 Street Fight – The New Day and Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss and The Usos
It was a very entertaining and fun match to watch. But it was quite nasty by a lot of means. Drew McIntyre at the end pinned Madcap Moss to earn the victory for his side. The winner team celebrated as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall, it was quite an entertaining week of Friday night smackdown, and it is more entertaining because of the gauntlet match. No response from either Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns was a big downfall of this week. The promotion for Paul Heyman was quite good but not enough a mention of the main event segment of the show is definitely a big downfall. We give it 2.5 out of 5.
