This week’s SmackDown was the last show of 2021 of WWE and the promotion decided not to continue the story of previous week’s SmackDown. Instead they came up with the different idea of listing the top 10 WWE moments of 2021.
No. 10 – RK-Bro wins the WWE Raw Tag Team championships – at the SummerSlam pay per view event, the unlikely Tag Team of Randy Orton and Riddle defeated Omos and AJ Styles win the RAW Tag Team titles. They are still holding the titles.
WWE Smackdown 31/12/2021 – Top 10 WWE Moments Of 2021
No. 9 – Logan Paul At WrestleMania 37 – at WrestleMania 37 Sami Zayn was challenged by Kevin Owens and Sami was accompanied by the YouTube sensation Logan Paul. In this match Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn and at the end of the match, Owens nailed Paul with a Stunner.
No. 8 – Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley at Summerslam – WWE Hall of famer and three times WWE World Champion Goldberg challenged the then WWE champion Bobby Lashley for the titles and the match was won by Bobby Lashley by referee stoppage. Lashley retained the WWE championship at the end of the match.
No. 7 – Charlotte Flair Winning WWE Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam – it was the triple threat match between the former champion Rhea Ripley, the champion Nikki ASH and Charlotte Flair. Charlotte Flair won this match and it was a 12th Women’s title win.
No. 6 – Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37 – Hip Hop legend legend Bad Bunny teamed up with Damian Priest to take on the team of The Miz and John Morrison. In this match, Bunny and Priest defeated The Miz and John Morrison with Bunny pinning the Miz.
No. 5 – Edge vs. Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell – the two former world champions battled inside Hell in a Cell to finish their feud. This feud is considered as the best feud of the Year and this particular match is also one of the best matches of the Year. Edge defeated Seth Rollins in this match.
No. 4 – Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37 – At WrestleMania 37, Bianca Belair challenged Sasha Banks for thr SmackDown Women’s Championship in the main event of night one. Bianca won her first major Championship in WWE that night and it was really and iconic moment.
No. 3 – Becky Lynch wins The Smackdown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam – Bianca Belair was scheduled to defend her title against Sasha Banks but for some reason she could not compete. So she was replaced by the returning Becky Lynch who defeated Bianca Belair in only 26 seconds time to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
No. 2 – Big E Cashes In His Money in the Bank contract – Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against Randy Orton successfully. After the match, Big E cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Lashley, and he defeated lastly to win his first ever WWE Championship.
No. 1 – Brock Lesnar returns – At Summerslam, WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns defend his title against John Cena successfully. After the match, the Beast Incarnate made his grand return to WWE and challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship. This marked the beginning of the long running feud between the duo which has not ended yet.
