This was one of the most anticipated match of the night 1 of WrestleMania XL for multiple reasons. The Rock is making his in ring return through this match. The Rock and Roman Reigns are also working as a tag team for the first time. Seth Rollins’ involvement also had a lot of fans excited.
The stipulation of the match is also pretty exciting; If Rhodes and Rollins win, all members of The Bloodline will be barred from ringside during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match on Night 2 of WrestleMania XL. But if Rock and Reigns win, the championship match on Night 2 will be held under Bloodline Rules.

There had been a lot of speculations about this match; some fans believe that Seth Rollins would betray Cody Rhodes and ultimately, his World Championship tomorrow would be a Bloodline Rules match. Some fans also believe that The Rock would betray Roman Reigns to build a future match between the two. Moreover, The Bloodline had been the bigger favorites of this match.
This was main event of the night as it had been advertised. All the spotlights were in this match and this was really as all the biggest names of the promotion were involved in this match. They took nearly half an hour in the promo package, entrances, and stare down. No doubt it was the biggest match of the night.
During the early stage of the match, it was weak, pretty slow match overall. From no angle it looked like a WrestleMania main event. The heel side had been stronger for the most part during the early stage as they were able to hurt a knee of Seth Rollins and they kept on attacking his injured knee.
At a point of the match, Roman Reigns mistakenly hit a Spear on The Rock and the fans could smell something to be made out of this action. But it was just a fun part of the match and nothing else. The match might have received a slow start, but ultimately, it picked up pace and overall it was a fun match.
The Rock took a lot of beatings in this match and kudos to him for that. But at the end, the match took a shocking turn when The Rock shocked the entire world by pinning Cody Rhodes clean. There was no shocking turn of events, no interferences, nothing. The Rock pinned Cody Rhodes after a People’s Elbow.
