A cricket enthusiast filed a complaint after failing to get tickets for the much anticipated November 5 India vs. South Africa match at the Eden Gardens. The clash between the Table Toppers has grabbed a lot of attention, with many believing that it could be one of the blockbuster clashes of the ongoing ODI World Cup.

Owing to alleged connections between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), the Kolkata Police have launched an official investigation regarding the ticket sale of the high-octane game, which is expected to be a full house on November 5th.

After the formal complaint was filed with Maidan Thana, the authorities asked CAB representatives to respond. In addition to the India match, Eden Gardens will host the second semifinal of the ODI World Cup on November 16. It is stated that certain BCCI and CAB officials deliberately set aside a substantial portion of tickets intended for the general public, making them available to black marketers for their benefit.

Long wait periods were a common complaint from fans, and many of them were unhappy with the way things were unfolded in the ticket purchase.

In the current ODI World Cup, India and South Africa are the two most formidable teams. India has won all six of their matches, while South Africa has won six out of their seven games so far in the tournament and the game could be a blockbuster one given the current form of the two sides.
