John Cena vs. Roman Reigns is considered to be a dream match by most of the WWE fans. Both of them are two of the franchises of the company. While Cena has been on the spot for two decades with his transition role, Roman Reigns has filled up the spot.

Despite the negative reactions from the crowd towards the Big Dog, WWE is determined to pit him as the top most superstar of the roster. So, quite evidently Cena squaring off against Reigns marks the face-off between two generations.

During last year’s December, the speculation around this match was started first after Cena and Reigns had a battle on twitter. At that point, Reigns was in the midst of a rivalry against Kevin Owens. So, he posted a reply to a video where he was seen laughing at Owens during a live event.

The then number one contender for the Universal championship gave a suitable replying for his smiling. In the meantime, John Cena entered into the conversation taking a dig at him. The Cenation leader indicated while he was earning the day by working his butt off, the later one was busy smiling.

Quite inevitably, The Samoan Big Dog came up with another adjacent reply towards the unwanted guest leading to the speculation of this dream match.

WWE has not addressed the matter at that point but they posted a video of WWE host Kathy Cally discussing the possibility of this match to take place in the near future. Most of the fans gave a positive reaction if not as a whole.

As for now, the possibilities of seeing this bout are illogical considering both of them are present on different brands. The only way to make this happen is by bringing them together or arranging it on the dual brand PPV, Survivor Series PPV where cross-brand matches can take place.

At one point, this match is inevitable since WWE intends to host this one as the “passing the torch” match where John Cena will put Roman Reigns over by digesting a lost. The question is though if that happens, earlier.
