The go-home episode of SmackDown Live witnessed a contract signing between AJ Styles and Shane McMahon. The rivalry between these two has became more intense over the past couple of weeks with both of them going relentlessly at each other.
Styles attacked Shane in the parking lot as he thrashed his head on a car window. This left Shane busted open to declare a contest against him at Wrestlemania. The match at mega event was made official with the contract being signed by them both.
The contest might turn out to be the show-stealer of the night considering how much agile performer these two are. Styles might be the greatest in-ring worker present in the WWE, today, but on the other hand, Shane McMahon made a career out of himself by doing incredible stunts in almost every matches he participated in.
However, there are major issues with Shane-O-Mac’s health heading into Wrestlemania. Considering his age, it might not be safe to pull off those insane stunts. Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez have discussed the latest episode of SmackDown Live, where they came up with the topic.
Meltzer mentioned that this year the Wrestlemania set is being constructed as a roller-coaster ride. So, there are chances that the SmackDown commissioner would go for another high-flying maneuver from those decorations. While performing this high-risk move, Shane might suffer an injury in the process.
The younger McMahon turned 47 and is in no condition like he used to be years ago. He might just go on to do something crazy out of pure instinct, but that would not be safe for his health.
The veteran journalist also pointed out an instance from the contract aligning segment when Daniel Bryan stopped Styles from getting physical with Shane. This was due to the creative wanting to keep him fit prior to the biggest event. Otherwise, almost all these signings turned into an utter chaos.
The stakes for this match are already high with Shane doing the insane jump off the top rope putting Styles through the announce table in the previous SmackDown segment. We have to wait and see whether this contest can withstand alongside the other big matches at the night of Wrestlemania 33.
