WWE News: Status Of Chris Jericho In The WWE Post-Wrestlemania 1

We had reported it earlier that Chris Jericho’s 2016 WWE-run was extended for multiple occasions. Initially, he was planned to stay until Wrestlemania 32 after he returned prior to the Royal Rumble PPV, last year.

But, then to push guys like Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn, he stayed for some more time. With his alliance forming with Kevin Owens, his departure in the month of October got canceled too.

It was Vince McMahon who extended Jericho’s WWE program, further as it has turned out to be much successful. Gimmicks and catchphrases like “The List of Jericho”, “it”, “stupid, idiot” have received overwhelming responses and thereby made him the biggest star attraction on Raw, even at this age.

As per the latest reports, although Chris Jericho has his music concert schedule post-Wrestlemania, he will continue to perform here. All the WWE house shows have advertised him for the entire months of April. He is also being advertised for the Raw-exclusive PPV, Payback in the same month. After this one, he might go on a short hiatus but is expected to come back as soon as possible.

The tour schedule has been declared which shows that starting from late April the rock-band will be performing across all the Summer Festival Circuits. The tour has been named as “Welcome to Rockville” concert. Apart from the tour, the band is also under contract with Creative Music which means they have to record a new album.

WWE is still not willing to let Jericho go for a long time and still finding the idea to have him as a part-timer. But, Y2J will have to go to global tour and might not be able to appear on WWE TV, consistently. So, the creative team members have to drop him out of the story-line at least for some time.

But, before that, he will have the much-anticipated match with Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania. The battle of these two former best friends will be worth a watch. The contest will be contested as the United States championship match in which Chris Jericho would put over Owens by digesting a loss.
