WWE News: Matt Hardy Calls Out Impact Wrestling Owner Ed Norholm On Twitter 1

There are numerous speculations going on over the “Broken” gimmick of the WWE. Ever since Matt Hardy left the Impact Wrestling, the promotion did not allow him to bring that gimmick outside their company.

They have filed paperwork claiming that the gimmick only belongs to them, exclusively. In return, Matt Hardy filed his own claim so that he can use the name “Broken Matt Hardy”, officially.

The trademark was described as “Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.” The legal battle is still not over with Hardy constantly teasing the gimmick on the social media, whereas, his wife stating that the Impact owner is not letting him do that, anymore.

Apparently, some reports surfaced stating that WWE was on the verge of an agreement with the Impact owners with this one sharing the profit. But, that might not be the case since Matt clarified on twitter that the Impact Wrestling owner named Ed Norholm is unmoved from his decision and might not back down, ever.

A fan posted a tweet stating that Matt and Jeff Hardy are not losing anything for not using the Broken gimmick. Rather, it’s the fans who are the ultimate loser for not seeing the classic concept on television for a long time.

In reply, Matt directly took a shot on the Anthem Sports honcho, Ed Norholm who is the man behind all of this mess. Although the Hardy Boyz parted their ways with the company back in February, he is bound to get a trademark on the ‘Broken’ gimmick will not allow some more storylines around it.

WWE has the idea of this one coming their way and hence they targeted to get “The Hardy Boyz” trademark for two purposes, “entertainment” and “clothing”. This one was filed on April 17th, 2017.

Ever since Matt and Jeff Hardy returned to the WWE, they are using their previous gimmick from their debut. But the wrestling fans are well aware of the “Broken” one. Hence, we can hear the “DELETE” chants among them, often.
