A couple of days ago, it was reported that one of the principle owners of 5-Star Wrestling, Daniel Hinkle has offered a $1 Million contract to CM Punk in order to mark his return to pro-wrestling.
The deal will make him competing in the tournament set to take place on June 2017 in the United Kingdom.
128 superstars will take part in it which is said to be the biggest tournament ever to take place in the history of pro-wrestling. The organisers have already confirmed some big names for the show tapings and Punk would have been one of them.
As per updates from 434.com, CM Punk apparently accepted the deal to make his much-anticipated return. The same was confirmed by Hinkle, as well.
However, the real story came to public as the veteran wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer threw some lights on it.
The Punk story is a fake.

He clarified that the claiming of CM Punk returning was completely fake. He is not coming back to join the extravaganza organised by 5-Star wrestling.
Later, the promotion itself came up with an announcement that the Daniel Hinkle’s account was fake and hence no one should pay attention to it. Previously, the supposed owner has declared the flowing statement:
“When we ask the fans who they want to see, CM Punk’s name is on everybody’s wish list and we’re willing to spend big to make it happen. I know he is seemingly focused on MMA at the moment and this wouldn’t have to end that, but wrestling is in his blood and $1 million has to be worth thinking about.”
TO BE CLEAR the @danielhinkles account is a fake account. This tweet was not made by anybody affiliated with 5 Star Wrestling pic.twitter.com/MzAN3tM4Dj

This interview was given to The Sun and was extremely believable with the fact that everybody wants to see CM Punk back into action. The man just wanted to garner some limelight using his name. By posting the below tweet, the promotion wiped out all the possibilities of the same.
We will make a really cool announcement tomorrow, revealing one of the most popular superstars of all time is joining the 5 Star Tournament.

However, they did mention that they are coming up with a veteran name around the circuit who would like to throw him into the mix, for sure. It means that there are chances that Punk might still accept the offer.
