WWE Rumour: Rusev To Be Added To The Money In The Bank Match 1

The Money in the Bank PPV is already looking stacked up with the possible matchups.

Already two big matches have been announced including the main ladder match for the night. The WWE championship would be on the line, as the new champion Jinder Mahal will defend it against Randy Orton.

In the prestigious ladder match, six mainstay performers of Smackdown Live will be seen competing. The commissioner Shane McMahon has confirmed the names like Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler for the match.

However, the rumour mill has come up with yet another name who is likely to join the list. As reported by Cagesideseats.com, Rusev is still very much in the plans of WWE to make it to the Money in the Bank ladder match. He should be added to it in the upcoming weeks.

Despite several pledges for an opportunity to the WWE championship, he did not show up on Smackdown, as per earlier announcements. But with still four weeks remaining for the PPV, The Bulgarian Brute could make his return on any of the Tuesday Night episode to continue with his demand.

It is quite evident that Shane McMahon will not hand him the opportunity to the WWE championship. He will have to earn an opportunity, for sure. So, instead, he will be forced to participate in the Money in the Bank ladder match. This will also mark the initial buildup for his potential Summerslam match against Rusev.

In another available scenario, Rusev might get added to the match, replacing another injured superstar. This might be the probable reason why Sami was attacked by Baron Corbin, on this past week’s Smackdown Live. We have not heard about his condition once that onslaught attack happened.

If we get to hear that he will out of action for sometimes due to this attack then it’s certain that it was planned to insert Rusev into the slot. The former United States champion himself is said to be unsure for the Money in the Bank match since the doctors still did not allow him to appear on live TV. We will be waiting to get a clear answer to this on next week’s Smackdown.
