WWE News: Jinder Mahal To Defend His WWE Title Against Shinsuke Nakamura 1

Jinder Mahal is scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton at the Money in the Bank PPV. The Viper will get his rematch for the title at the upcoming Smackdown-exclusive PPV in June. He was not present at last week’s episode of Smackdown but will return for this week to continue the storyline.

It was reported earlier that Jinder Mahal is not supposed to lose the WWE title, anytime soon. Even if he drops it he should not drop it to the Apex Predator of the WWE which will make him a 14-time WWE champion. Plus, he will not work in WWE house shows for quite a while in the future wiping out the possibilities of picking up the title, once more.

It clearly indicates that there’s no way that Jinder is going to drop the championship at the Money in the Bank PPV. Plus, following this event, he will be given another renowned opponent to defend his championship. This time, it will be none other than the King of Strong Styles.

As advertised by the company, the champion is set to feature in numerous championship matches for the entire month of July in the live shows. Orton was supposed to continue his program with Jinder Mahal even after the June PPV. However, with him being absence, Nakamura will replace him for the live events.

It is still not confirmed whether this feud will be brought into live television or not. The live events are completely different from the televised episodes. These shows feature some of the random matches from the roster whereas Smackdown rolls on continuing the storyline process.

Now, there are some planning going on among the creative about the next legit opponent of Jinder Mahal. Considering he is still not considered to be a veteran performer, they are intending to pit him against some legendary names present in the company in order to make his wrestling ability better than ever.

The process was started from Randy Orton and it would not be surprising if they follow it up with none other than everyone’s favourite Shinsuke Nakamura. A perfect babyface vs. heel scenario will be established to come up with a great story-telling prospective, for sure.
