Starting from tonight, the Impact Wrestling and the Sony Pictures Network India will create history. For the first time in our country, one wrestling promotion is going to film four episodes of their television programming.
Tonight and tomorrow, i.e; May 30th and 31st, the entire roster of the Impact Wrestling will be present in Mumbai for the television taping.
Previously, several wrestling companies including WWE, Impact and more held live events, in our country. However, there’s difference between these live events and television tapings. Live events are considered as house shows with randomly booked matches, whereas, the televised episodes are those which are bound with script continuing the storylines.

It is something that we are able to see every week on WWE Raw and Smackdown. Generally, the promotions do not go beyond their friendly zone to tape these episodes since the sellout of these events is much needed. They conduct it mostly in the USA-Canada region or the United Kingdom.
But, this is going to be the first time that the entire crew, production and the roster will be present, live for the television taping. It is expected a core fanbase of Impact Wrestling will also attend the event bringing some international flavour to it.
However, the episodes of Impact Wrestling (formerly known as TNA) are not telecasted live like the WWE. Hence, the episodes will be available on TV at a later date. The general schedule of Impact on Sony Six Network is every Friday at 9 PM.

The pro-wrestling fans of India can catch all the actions live on tonight’s taping where they can witness their favourite superstars like Alberto El Patron, Bobby Lashley, James Storm, Ethan Carter III, Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Low Ki, IMPACT Knockout Allie and more on the show. The homeland heroes Mahabali Shera and Sonjay Dutt will also be present on the show, as well.
The Chief Creative Officer of the company Jeff Jarrett was much excited with the company’s return to India. He expressed his joy with the following statement:
“I’m thrilled to be going back to India to produce new episodes of our flagship show IMPACT Wrestling that will incorporate the Sony SIX branding. These historic episodes will lead into our blockbuster 15th anniversary Slammiversary event July 2 on pay-per-view, so our fanbase in India can expect to see all our biggest stars in action.”
