WWE News: Austin Aries Comments On The Devastating Loss At Extreme Rules 1

At Extreme Rules PPV, we have seen an incredible submission match between Neville and Austin Aries. Two of them gave more than they had on that night to give us a 5-star rating match. The audience also loved it, as two of the great in-ring technicians brought the house down.

Now, considering that Neville is the Cruiserweight champion for more than five months, it was expected that Austin Aries will become the new champion on that night. The crowd always gives this man a warm reception in every arena and he was supposed to be the face of the lightweight division.

However, Neville retained the title to the much surprise of the fans. Moreover, he pulled off a clean victory making him tap out with the Rings of Saturn manoeuvre. With Aries being absent, Neville is expected to continue his dominant run in the division.

Meanwhile, the reason behind a double’s loss is due to the fact that he will end up taking a hiatus from WWE schedule. This time-off is owing to an injury that he is nagging for a long time. Previously, he was handed a commentator’s role due to a hernia surgery.

Aries recently appeared in an interview on the Busted Open Radio to confirm the hiatus. He stated that every superstar goes through this junction where the hectic schedule forces them to take a break. Plus, he is dealing with several injuries in his long career.

So, he needs a much-needed break in order to heal up and decide what’s next for him in the future. Check out his full comments, here:

“I’ve got some stuff going on, but just to be fair you could probably say that for a lot of the locker room. It’s kind of part of what we do, I don’t think anyone is ever 100%.”

“So I got a couple things going on and obviously at this point it might be a good time to take a little break which really could consist of two days to just adjust some of those things, try and get my mind and my body right and then come back and figure out what’s gonna be next and what the direction’s gonna be.”

This will be a big setback for the 205 Live ratings since for the past few months as he was the biggest attraction on the show. For now, there’s no concrete news as of whether Aries will return to in-ring action in the WWE or not.
