WWE News: Possible Announcements That Roman Reigns Might Come Up With On Raw 1

Quite surprisingly, the franchise player of WWE Raw, Roman Reigns was absent from WWE TV, this week. There was no storyline perspective to it with an injury angle or something else. Later, it was announced that the Big Dog will be back to claim his own yard with a bigger announcement for this year’s Summerslam.

Ever since this advertisement was given, the rumour mill turned into a frenzy finding out the possibilities of the upcoming announcement. It is being reported by numerous sources that WWE kept Roman Reigns off from TV in order to hype up his presence, next week.

WWE.com is also trying to promote the upcoming announcement on their official site stating:

“The Big Dog has some big plans for The Biggest Party of the Summer. Live on Raw next Monday night, Roman Reigns will make an announcement concerning his involvement in this year’s SummerSlam, which will emanate from Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 20.

The Big Dog remains focused on ruling over and defending his “yard” on Team Red. No matter what it entails, Reigns’ proclamation will surely change the landscape of WWE’s annual summer spectacular.”

As per the rumour mill, it is not likely that he will be going for the Universal Championship, for now. The plan with him and Brock Lesnar is kept reserved for next year’s Wrestlemania. So, there’re fewer chances to witness it happening, at this early.

Rather, we can very well see a cross-brand match at Summerslam much like to that of to last year’s main event featuring Brock Lensar and Randy Orton. The latter one belongs to Smackdown, whereas, the beast is part of Raw.

This year, the chances are that Roman Reigns will be calling out none but John Cena for a marquee match at the summer’s biggest party. This is the reason why the Cenation leader is also being advertised as a “free agent” while returning on Smackdown.

Apart from this, there’s a sheer possibility of calling out a legend out of retirement. Goldberg fits into this slot quite automatically since he has some unfinished business with Big Dog. Recently, he intended to get back into the ring mentioning the younger superstars might get ready to square off against him. So, another return from The Myth can definitely be expected in the near future.
