The hype up for this week’s WWE Raw has already made once WWE confirmed that Roman Reigns is going to make a huge announcement. It will comprise of an upcoming storyline for the biggest event of the summer, Summerslam.
Plus, we will witness the fallout from last week’s brawl between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar. The entire locker room needed to show up in order to separate these two. So, it will be interesting to see what’s next for them when WWE Raw comes live from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Now, as per WWE’s statement, the Big Dog will come up with a mammoth news that will set the tune for Summerslam 2017. This is what the official website has to offer,
“The Big Dog has some big plans for The Biggest Party of the Summer. Live on Raw next Monday night, Roman Reigns will make an announcement concerning his involvement in this year’s SummerSlam, which will emanate from Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 20.”
However, the recent reports from the rumour mill suggest that none but Braun Strowman will return on this week’s WWE Raw. This will happen to interrupt Reigns in the middle of his promo segment. These two will resume their feud from where they have left off to set up a match at the Great Balls of Fire PPV.
After the brawl that Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar had, it is a fact that the contender has earned a tremendous amount of momentum going forward to the PPV. However, this should not be the end of their confrontation. The beast is being advertised to appear on today’s show. So, we expect things to heat up, even more.
There are no confirmed opponents for the women’s champion, Alexa Bliss. Almost all the women are fighting for their spot to get a shot to the title. It is likely that the Kurt Angle would make multi women title match official for the next PPV.
A similar announcement should be made around the Intercontinental title, as well. Ambrose had never received his rematch. On the other hand, Elias Samson has pinned him twice. So, this should be a triple threat matchup including the champion, The Miz at Great Balls of Fire.
The angle for the mystery attacker of Enzo and Cass would continue alongside the storyline between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. Also, it will be interesting to witness whether any revelations would be made regarding the mystery text messages for the GM, Kurt Angle.
