Any person with even the slightest of cricketing knowledge would know that India opener Rohit Sharma holds the record of highest individual score in One-Day Internationals.
The 30-year old batsman, in 2014, had played a belligerent inning of 264 from just 173 balls against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, surpassing the then best ODI record of 219 scored by his compatriot Virender Sehwag.
As of now, we all know that Rohit still holds that record. However, Wikipedia thinks otherwise. According to Wikipedia, India’s discarded all-rounder Yusuf Pathan’s highest score in 50-over format is a staggering 1230, almost five times than that of Rohit Sharma’s score. Wikipedia also showed that the batsman has scored 1000 runs in ODIs which is wrong too.

Well, before you all start doubting your cricketing knowledge, let this be clear that it was just a mistake which has been corrected now. The statistics under ‘top score’ is now stating his correct highest score which is 123 not out that he scored against New Zealand in 2010.

Yusuf Pathan is currently out of the Indian team and any chance of seeing the hard-hitting all-rounder back in the national team is looking very bleak. He has struggled to perform consistently in the domestic circuit and also had a forgettable outing in this year’s Indian Premier League too, where he managed just 143 runs in 15 matches.
So far, he has played 57 ODIs and scored 810 runs. His last ODI appearance had come way back in 2012.
