Tony Dodemaide To Quit As CEO Of Cricket Victoria In April 2018 1

Former Australian all-rounder had decided to step down as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket Victoria in April 2018 after maintaining the post for over ten years, in a bid to enhance the infrastructure at the domestic set-up, as he has been the keen observer of grassroots level cricket.

“After a decade as CEO, I am also excited about the prospect of exploring options for my own next career phase,” Dodemaide was quoted as saying by Cricket.com.au.

Dodemaide further went on to say that he would like to call-up a time as a CEO while adding the fresh membership is required to take forward this organization in a most comprehensive way owing to the Victorian Cricket and Community Centre projects being executed as per its constitution.

“With the new VCCC on-time for completion, I feel it is an obvious and appropriate time to pass the baton to the next phase of leadership for this organization,” Dodemaide added.

However, the Melbourne-born 53-year-old Dodemaide would enjoy the stint in order to witness the first-class venue Junction Oval emerging as a state-of-the-art centre for the players in Australia.

“Whilst I am fully committed to seeing the Junction Oval project through to completion and management of another busy local, domestic and Ashes season,” Dodemaine maintained.

According to the reports, the redevelopment process would cost around 40 million to provide the players quality training and a clear feel of an international stadium in their backyard.
