Manchester United stars Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj have been dropped by their national team’s manager because of the troublesome season they have had at United which has seen Mata and Januzaj being constantly left out of the starting XI.
New United manager Louis Van Gaal has failed to come to his best formation and playing XI which has resulted in Mata and Januzaj being the two men constantly facing the axe from the team.
This has not gone unnoticed by Vicente Del Bosuqe and Marc Wilmots, who have declared to their stars to get regular first team action or else forget the chabce to represent their country in near future.
Juan Mata, who is one of the most socially active players in the game wrote on his recent blog post about how he is edging to get back to the national set up after finally finding some run of games under Van Gaal. Mata scored 2 goals in a memorable 2-1 United win at Anfield.
Juan Mata has finally convinced Van Gaal of his abilities of being a regular feature for United. Mata was instrumental in United’s win over Tottenham and Liverpool. Although playing in the wide right role, Mata has flourished for United dictating the play for the team and scoring the goals as well.
Adnan Januzaj has been a different story altogether. Last season, he was United’s best player and was expected to kick on this season. But with Di Maria’s arrival and Ashley Young’s form has meant more bench time for Adnand Januzaj and it is showing in his axe from the National side.
Januzaj sat and watched Belgium’s 5-0 win over Cyprus while his teammate Marouane Fellaini scored a brace. Januzaj has recently come out and said the importance of him putting on some muscle to be able to shrug off defenders in the Premier League.
Van Gaal’s constant chopping and changing has meant that Mata and Januzaj have been dropped from their national side and are being forced to watch the action from the sidelines. Mata and Januzaj would hope to feature more regularly under Van Gaal as the season enters the final 8 games to be played with United primed to finish in the top 4 ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham.
