WWE: What to Expect from this Week’s Raw: August 14, 2017 1

This is going to be the very last episode of WWE Raw before we head towards the Summerslam PPV.

Last week, the show ended on a note where Samoa Joe caused Roman Reigns in a brutal match against his arch-nemesis, Braun Strowman. With just six days remaining for the title match, it is expected that Reigns will try to bounce back, for sure.

Plus, there will be the main event match between two bitter rivals from the women’s division to determine who would challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s title. The episode will be hosted by the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brock Lesnar is still not being advertised to appear on this final episode of Raw before the biggest event of the summer. So, if he does not show up in a surprising capacity, then he will not have any face-to-face segment with his three opponents.

Meanwhile, these are the updates from WWE.com regarding the contenders which suggest that a brawl will break down among all of them and one of them will gain the upper hand,

“With all three of those Superstars slated to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at The Biggest Event of the Summer, Joe has suddenly surged in momentum, and it’s anyone’s guess as to who will head into SummerSlam with the biggest head of steam.”

The main event match will be contested between Sasha Banks and Nia Jax for the number one contender’s spot vacated by Bayley. The Boss will be competing in her hometown which is an added advantage for her. The creative wants her to replace Bayley in the spot and hence, she will emerge as the victorious.

Last week, Brock Lesnar did not allow The Miz and his entourage to take redemption against Jason Jordan who insulted him 15 days ago. So, tonight, The Miz will be looking forward to getting his hands on Jordan to set up an IC title match at Summerslam.

Another contest for the Raw tag team championship should be arranged, as well. After months of disagreement, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are probably going to have a reunion to earn an opportunity to the title possessed by Sheamus and Cesaro.

The Hardy Boyz will be returning to the show after one week’s hiatus to set up a match against Gallows and Anderson. Plus, Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt will continue to play mind games with each other.
