WWE/UFC News: Cris Cyborg Blames Ronda Rousey for not Having Match at Summerslam 1

Over the past couple of months, the UFC superstar, Cris Cyborg was lobbying for a match at Summerslam against Becky Lynch. The altercation had begun with Cyborg giving an open challenge to the WWE Smackdown roster member on twitter. Being a fighter, Becky did not back down from the challenge and the possibility of the match was created.

Furthermore, this was addressed by WWE, itself to indicate that the creative has arranged a planning for the cross-brand match at Summerslam. Becky was not booked in any other angle, as well. However, without any further proper brewing except the social media altercations, the match idea was put to rest.

Quite interestingly, the MMA fighter has indicated that someone from her own league is the reason behind her absence from the biggest event of the summer. She posted a tweet on her account clarifying the reason for not showing up at Summerslam. Here are her quotes:

“Disappointed @BeckyLynchWWE isn’t stepping into the ring with me #wwesummerslam I heard a 4 horse woman doesn’t want me in the @wwe ring b4 her”

As we all know, the UFC promotion has their own four horsewomen stable with Ronda Rousey being one of them who is also the frontrunner to step into the WWE, someday. So, the blamed person is no one but the former UFC bantamweight champion.

Apparently, Ronda has started training in California’s Santino Brother’s Academy to make her debut inside the WWE ring in near future and so she does not want somebody else from her company to steal her thunder. Being on good terms with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon might have favored her, as well.

Ever since Ronda featured in the segment with Triple H and Stephanie at Wrestlemania 31 that became a huge hit, the WWE Universe wanted her in the WWE. However, till date, that has not happened and might not come to fruition until Wrestlemania 34.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins claimed that this is the most talented WWE roster of all time and the company does not need outsiders for big matches. Check out his comments as we hope he does not suffer any consequences for these:
“I think we have maybe the most talented roster of all time. I don’t think we need anybody to help or crossover. If they want to come over to our world and have some fun then that’s cool but we’re happy doing our thing on our own.”
