WWE News: Update on Charlotte Flair’s Return on Smackdown Live 1

Charlotte Flair was unable to make her presence felt on any of the WWE events that led to the Summerslam PPV, this year. Thankfully for the WWE Creative, she was not involved in any of the major feuds on Smackdown Live and for the biggest party of the summer, as well. So, they did not have to bear with a headache for her absence.

The Queen’s absence from the WWE events came as a result of her father Ric Flair being unwell ever since the beginning of this month. He was admitted to the Atlanta Hospital to fix the problems. After getting checked up, he had to undergo a successful surgery to get rid of his heart-related problems.

The surgery was performed on 14th of August after Ric was induced into a coma position. His whole family alongside Charlotte Flair was present by his side during this tough period. It was the reason why the Queen was not able to show up at Summerslam, even. The questions remained that when we can see her back on live television, again.

This past week, Charlotte was back on the roads with the roster, as she made the first public appearance following the hiatus. She attended the Chicago Comic Con festival to address the speculations. As per her update, she would make her return to the very next episode of Smackdown Live. This edition will take place in Little Rocks, Arkansas.

Another similar update was posted on Charlotte’s twitter account which stated that she would be performing in the Smackdown live events, as well before the Smackdown. She was seen performing on all the shows mentioned and is supposed to show up on this Tuesday Night on WWE TV, as well.

As for his father Ric Flair’s latest condition, Charlotte gave an update on her Instagram account which is as follows:

“After an incredibly hard week, my dad is getting better. There is still a long road to go, and he’s not out of the woods just yet, but I want to again thank everyone for their support on behalf of myself and my family. My dad has given his life to sports entertainment. To everyone competing tonight, you know he’d be backstage watching if he could. Give it a little extra flair for him tonight. Woooo!”
