WWE News: Veteran WWE Superstars Respond to the Miz’s Proposal 1

We have received a new number one contender in the form of Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship, last week. The Miz was frustrated for a long time for not defending his title. His championship was the only one which remained undefended during the Summerslam weekend.

So, the complaints made by the champion was finally addressed by the Raw GM, Kurt Angle who announced a 15-man battle royal to determine a new contender for the IC title. The exciting contest witnessed Finn Balor dominating the match up until Bray Wyatt interfered.

It took away the opportunity from Balor who would now continue his feud against Wyatt for one more PPV. In his absence, Jeff Hardy capitalised to eliminate the remaining contestant to become the new challenger for the Miz’s title.

Now, it was a pretty unexpected move from the officials. Before last week’s WWE Raw, the Hardyz were still performing as a tag team. We have got no clues that the officials would have split them for giving opportunities in singles competition.

The fans were quite happy to witness the Charismatic Enigma back into singles competition, but The Miz was not. So, at this time, he started playing mind-games with the contender. A video message was posted by the titleholder who invited them to join his entourage.

The Hollywood A-lister has formed a team with the help of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel named The Miztourage and going strong with it. Now, he has claimed to bring back The Hardy Boyz’ glorious days from Attitude Era if they decided to join forces with him.

However, the former tag team champions quickly gave a reply on Twitter denying the proposal. Jeff Hardy was rather focused to face The Miz on tonight’s Raw and win back the Intercontinental title after several years. It would bring the prestige back to the title.

As much as the fans do want the championships to change hands, tonight, it is not likely. Rather, The Miz would continue his reign via disqualification to set up a rematch that might take place at the No Mercy PPV.
