WWE News: Kurt Angle Reveals In-Ring Return Date & Possible Opponent 1

Kurt Angle returned to WWE television to act as the newly appointed General Manager of Monday Night Raw from Wrestlemania onwards. It was previously reported that WWE intends to use the veteran in some non-wrestling capacity. Hence, this was the perfect role for the six-time WWE World champion.

Now, several reports have already suggested that Kurt Angle is due for at least one last match in the WWE. In fact, if his body can cooperate in the future then the number of matches might get increased. The Hall of Famer has also made his intentions clear to wrestle in some more marquee matches in the company, going forward.

This topic was nurtured for several times during the promotion of the WWE 2K18 video game. The latest edition of 2K series will come out in public in October. But, the promotional activities are going on with full force, and Kurt Angle is an integral part of it. In case you don’t know, he was added as a playable character only for those who will pre-order the game.

During one such appearance, The Raw GM was asked about the inevitable question of in-ring return when he replied that “end of the year, early next year” might mark the much-anticipated moment. But, the whole thing depends on Vince McMahon. If he gives green signal, then only the match can come to fruition.

While talking about the possible opponents, he named the likes of Triple H, Kurt Angle, John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. He specifically took the name of Strowman quoting that he loves the big guy.

These are some unofficial words uttered by Raw GM. Until and unless the creative team sanctions it, there no hopes to see him wrestling again. Plus, when it comes to Kurt Angle, Vince McMahon is much concerned about his injury-prone body. So, he does not want to be in a hurry, either.

However, Angle is out of competition for quite sometimes now, and this should help him to heal up any concussions that he was dealing, till date. If he gets cleared by the WWE medical team, then there are chances that he gears up for a match at Survivor Series in November which is the last dual brand PPV of this year.
