There’s no denying that Hulk Hogan might be the face that comes first when someone hears the word of pro-wrestling. He was a true icon for over two decades before WWE was taken over by the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin. But, till date, he is considered as the first franchise player in the WWE and WCW.
Now, the Hulkster is away from professional wrestling for a long time now. He found his way back to the WWE in the year 2014, just before Wrestlemania. The company named him the host of that year’s biggest spectacle of the year. However, his stint was soon cut short following an unfortunate incident.
He suffered a lawsuit from Gawker media for featuring in a video that spread racism scandals. Once that went viral, WWE released him from the company. Each mention of Hulk Hogan in the WWE was removed as to detach him from the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.
Later, the legendary performer was able to prove himself innocent by winning the case against Gawker media and get rid of all the accusations made against him. But, that did not help him to make the return to the WWE or any other wrestling promotions, till date.
Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer has appeared in an interview on his beach show encountering some questions by his fans. In one such interesting scenario, he was asked about his return to the in-ring action where he decided to leave it on whether fans want it or not. Check out his comments, here:
“Now I got a question for you. From this point forward, with Hulk Hogan being in the prime of his career, with Hulk Hogan being the greatest beach bum ever with the greatest beach shop, what do you fans want to see me do with wrestling? Do you want me to stay out of it? Do you want me to get back in it? Do you want me to tear the business apart? I want to hear from you guys. I want to get your replies. What do the fans want Hulk Hogan to do about wrestling from this point forward.”
Hogan returning to the WWE is one of the constant speculations ever since he won the case against the scandal. The WWE officials want to bring him in certain capacities, but held it back since they do not want any fan backlash over his return. We have to wait some more whether it comes to fruition or not.
