When it comes to the pro-wrestling world, the managers and the officials are given equal importance to that of the superstars. It is the reason why we have got names like Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, Paul Bearer and more to the scene. Yesterday, the industry lost one of them.

Bobby Heenan, one of the best managers from the WCW promotion has passed away. As per the reports, he took his last breath on September 17th, 2017. Bobby earned fame around the wrestling circuit with a unique personality. Also, he used to appear in the commentary table, as well to bring a fresh flavour to it.

It is the reason why he was being referred as Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. He was suffering from a jaw infection, broken hip for the last few days. Plus, he was also battling with throat cancer since 2002. It affected his iconic voice which was not the same since cancer affected it. Although he was sick for the past few days, his daughter stated that the passing away happened all of a sudden.

Bobby Heenan, over the years, has been the manager for numerous WWE Hall of Famers like Nick Bockwinkel, the Blackjacks, Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, the Brain Busters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard), Harley Race and Andre The Giant.

WWE.com posted the following comments to mourn the death of the legendary persona,

“WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan, regarded by many as the greatest manager in sports-entertainment history, has passed away at age 73.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Heenan was the “The Brain” behind some of the most prolific Superstars in sports-entertainment history. Heenan plied his trade as their mischievous manager by running his mouth on their behalf with a sarcastic wit considered among the best in the business.”

Numerous names from the pro-wrestling community reacted on this sudden demise:
