WWE Rumour: Huge First-Ever Hell in a Cell Match is Being Planned 1

Hell in a Cell is one of those match stipulations that helps to culminate feuds. Over the years, we have witnessed bigger bad blood between two superstars coming to an end after match inside this steel cage. As per the recent speculations, we might be approaching towards yet another same contest in the future.

This year, the Smackdown brand will be hosting the PPV on October 8th. Two matches have been revealed for this event, till date. The WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal will defend his championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. Till date, it has not been announced whether this match will be contested inside the demonic structure. Plus, Shane McMahon will be able to put his hands on Kevin Owens, legally now that his father has made a Hell in a Cell match official between these two.

Apart from these two matches, there might be yet another first-ever match that might take place inside the unforgiving steel structure. Apparently, the Smackdown tag team championships will be defended in a Hell in a Cell match during the PPV.

Wrestlingnews.co reported that the creative is planning for the match. We might get to know more on the news that was broken first by Ryan Satin of Pro-Wrestling Sheet on the upcoming edition of Smackdown Live.

There’s no doubt that the officials intend to make The New Day as the greatest tag-team champions of all time in the history of the company. They will break all sorts of records that stand in the tag-team division. So, the idea of letting them defending the titles inside the devil’s playground seems a no-brainer.

The Usos still owes a rematch after losing the titles at the Sin City Street Fight, last week. They are likely to demand the rematch on Smackdown, and the champions might propose to give them one in a bigger capacity. Last year, we saw the first-ever Hell in a Cell match featuring two women. It was Charlotte and Sasha Banks fighting it out over the Raw Women’s Championship in the main event of the PPV. It looks like; we will be getting yet another path-breaking match between two of the veteran tag teams present in the WWE.
