Australian veteran wicket keeper Brad Haddin took one of the bizarre catches of his wicket keeping career when he caught the ball edged by West Indian Shai Hope between his legs.

The 37-year-old Haddin allowed Hope’s edged shot to slip through his gloves but the ball somehow managed to lodge itself between his legs.

The bizarre wicket was one of three taken by off-spinner Nathan Lyon as the Baggy Greens took control of the second and final Test in Kingston.

“Lucky he kept his legs shut I guess,” Lyon said. “It was one of those things, you just take it whenever. I was just hoping he wasn’t going to jump up and let it drop out.”

Australian fielder Steve Smith was quick to try and grab the ball from between Haddin’s legs and Lyon joked: “I’m not sure what’s going on with those two. They seem quite friendly. He seemed to jump in it pretty quick.”

Lyon’s three dismissals took him past Aussie legend Hugh Trumble’s tally of 141 Test wickets, and he was visibly delighted with the achievement.

“I’m pretty proud. It’s a big moment,” he said. “As I keep saying, and always say, I’ll look back at these things at the end of my career.

“I am proud of the achievement that’s for sure. It’s a big record to break. Hopefully I can add to it.”, Lyon added

The 27 year old off-spinner from New South Wales has taken 141 wickets till now from 40 matches.

Way to go Lyon and way to go Braddin!
