Sasha Banks is arguably one of the cornerstones of the current women’s roster in the WWE. She is the one who might have all the fan-favour in her corner rather than the other three members of the four horse-women who started the Women’s Revolution in the WWE.
It is quite certain that WWE officially points out the debut of Charlotte, Sasha and Becky Lynch on the main roster as the kick-off for this renaissance.
On a night of July 2015, these three made their debut on Monday Night Raw to change the course of the WWE Women’s history. The Boss has certainly made a name for herself earning respect from the crowd. With her attractive personality and the incredible in-ring agility, she has already become a three-time Women’s Champion and looks forward to doing in future, as well.
She was on a tour of WWE in Australia and New Zealand where she appeared in an interview with stuff.co.nz to speak about the alterations that WWE women’s locker room has witnessed. Speaking of the same, she noted five years ago; the women were not able to compete alongside the men, whereas, now they get to the main event on Raw, Smackdown or even PPVs without even special mention.
The Boss continued saying even two years ago; they had a title with butterfly-shape. They all disagree to keep it way, and the company came up with a change. Check out her entire statement, here:
“Five years ago we weren’t given this opportunity that we’re having now to be equal to the men. Just two years ago we were considered Divas, that was our brand name, and we had a championship that was in the shape of a butterfly.
I was like ‘this is not us, we’re not divas, we’re superstars’. And so two years ago we changed that.”
It was quite true when Sasha Banks mentioned five years ago; the ‘Divas’ used to look so beautiful since everything about the women was about the looks. But, now they have finally reached to an era where technicality is the key to success. Here are her further comments:
“We have all different shapes, sizes, all different looks, and it’s so beautiful to see because legit five years ago it was all models. Now, the sky’s the limit.”
