The Paige-Del Rio saga seems endless to our readers, for sure. For months now, they have been keeping themselves in the news headlines with multiple stories. It had reached a whole new level with the Orlando Airport incident where both of them had a verbal altercation in public.
It even included a commoner who forced the police to interfere in this matter. An investigation commenced from the police department with an allegation of domestic violation to both Paige and Del Rio. No charges were pressed by the police, till date. But, that did not resist Del Rio to remain suspended from the GFW promotion.
GFW’s next event Bound For Glory is approaching fast, but despite being the champion, he is missing numerous shows due to the suspension. The company had not shown any interest to bring him back and lift the ban. He is still expected to show up before the PPV night in some capacity so that he can be a part of the upcoming show.
A report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested the officials of the GFW promotion are not happy at all with Del Rio’s situation and the controversies he has been up to, lately. Although he was not charged, his image got harmed due to the Orlando incident. Being a champion in a global company does not suit him, at all.

Apparently, a few weeks ago, Paige and Del Rio had some serious arguments at backstage during the taping of GFW shows. It was taken well by the officials, as well. They do not want any personal fallout in their work environment. So, there are some serious concerns about Del Rio’s status as the champion.
Meanwhile, the former WWE Superstar’s attorney sent a legal notice to the company as of why his client did not get reinstated in his position despite not found guilty in the Orlando Airport incident. The company heads have replied by stripping him off the GFW Championship. It is likely that Del Rio will return to the company at an upcoming PPV.
As for Paige, she intends to return to the WWE, sooner just after getting cleared to compete. But, it’s up to the creative heads whether they would like to bring her back to the roster or not.
