WWE News: Jinder Mahal Reportedly Working with a Concussion 1

Despite anyone likes Jinder Mahal as the reigning WWE Champion or not, there’s no denying that he’s been the star of the year 2017 not only in the WWE but also in the entire pro-wrestling circuit.

He started the year in the same calibre like that of Curt Hawkins (who had lost 115 matches in a row) or Heath Slater. His task was to look his opponents stronger by digesting losses.

From thereon he went on to have a Cinderella story which is still going on. At the Backlash PPV in May, he defeated one of the all-time greats in the company, Randy Orton to win the prime title present in the WWE. He had the privilege to become the 50th holder of the most prestigious title present in the sports entertainment and that too as the representative of our native land of India.

He has been undergone some title defences since then but has been able to grab the championship around his waist. It showed the amount of faith the company had in the Modern-day Maharaja. We should also keep in mind it was his successful title reign that was one of the reasons for which Baron Corbin was unable to cash-in the Money in the Bank briefcase, successfully.

Apart from the positive sides of the reign, there’s no denying the champion needs to undergo a rigorous schedule being the prime face of the brand. So, there was nothing different for Jinder, as well. He has also been a part of the brutal Punjabi Prison match against Orton in July. So, his body might be feeling the effect.

According to the rumour roundup from cagesideseats.com, the champion is dealing with a shoulder injury for quite sometimes. Due to the packed schedule, he has been working with it. There’s no confirmation of the injury since the company has not given any update on it.

But, considering the number of matches he had to compete in last few months and travel along different cities, there’s no wonder if he picks up one. The source claimed the injury is a minor one. So, it is expected Jinder Mahal will not miss any significant time due to this and make full preparation for Hell in a Cell.
