The rivalry between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens has reached to the most extreme level over the last few weeks. In fact, we have got to see an intense rivalry which included family drama on the WWE TV screen after quite a long time. So, a match between these two inside the Hell in a Cell structure is the rightmost place to culminate a match.
Needless to say, this is going to be the main event on this Sunday night’s main event despite multiple championship matches in store in the match card on that night. But, nothing can make the audience more excited than this particular contest. The bout will go down in the brand new venue, the Little Caesars Arena in the Detroit city, Michigan.
Considering the infamous actions of Shane McMahon from earlier his career, we can certainly expect him pulling off incredible daredevil stunts off the Cell structure. Plus, we certainly know how much brutal Kevin Owens can be as a heel. So, he will not be anything less while punishing the younger McMahon during the match.
If the reports of Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter to be believed, then there will be a pre-taped segment during this main event. This is the reason why the match was made a Falls Count Anywhere match during the go-home edition of Smackdown Live for Hell in a Cell. This decision was made at the, very last moment keeping in mind of something bigger.
WWE officials might have, in-store an incredible stunt to be pulled off by Shane-O-Mac which might not be possible during the live match. So, this particular segment will take place, at a backstage area. Check out the comments made by the source regarding this update (courtesy stillrealtous.com):
“I know before they announced the stipulation, I know some of the ideas for this stupid thing Shane was going to do and it was inside the cell or around the cell area. So maybe they got together and they decided to start working things out and they had an idea and then Shane was like ‘you know what? I’m gonna kill myself here so let’s do a pre-tape and we’ll make it falls count anywhere so we can make it out of the cell.’ That very well could be what happened.”
The source also added that the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation was added to hide the inadequacies of Shane McMahon inside the ring so that he can spend more time doing some out-ring stunts during the match.
