WWE News: Shocking Heel Turn at the Main Event of Hell In A Cell 2017 1

Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens was the scheduled main event of the Sunday evening. So, quite expectedly, it was the last one match during the Hell in a Cell PPV which closed the show. As per earlier expectations, Shane McMahon’s entire family sat in the front row seats to watch the match including his three sons.

It gave an advantage for the heel Owens, as he continued to taunt Shane throughout the match whenever he got the upper hand. Due to the bad blood between the two, the match started outside the cell with Owens making his entrance. But, the duo was finally taken inside the structure as the referee closed the door.

Shane McMahon connected with some of his pendant high-flying moves with the trash can. He even tried to pull off a top rope moonsault but missed, as the crowd started to chant “you still got it”. Apart from these notable moments, the major swerve as stored at the end of the match that left the crowd stunned.

At one point, both the competitors took the fight at the top of the cell structure. Owens event hit Shane with a powerbomb on top of it. He tried to escape the steel cage, but Shane pushed him off the structure and he went through a commentary table. Shane too tried to deliver an elbow off the cell cage, but misses and went through another table.

It was the point when Sami Zayn arrived at the scene out of nowhere. To the shock of the world, he dragged the body of a senseless Owens on top of Shane McMahon. The referee counted the pinfall to hand the Smackdown commissioner another loss after returning to the WWE.

It can be counted as the unexpected heel-turn for Sami Zayn on the blue brand which was a long-time coming. Going forward, he might get a push by the virtue of this move. It was much needed to save his downward going career. We are expected to see the fallouts from this event on the upcoming edition of Smackdown.
